Privacy Policy
Vega Sports Intelligence (“Vega,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides a sponsorship-intelligence platform for sports organizations (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to vegasports.ai and the Vega application. By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account information. When you are provisioned or invited, we collect your name, email address, organization, and role. Authentication is handled by our provider Clerk; if you sign in with Google, we receive your basic Google profile (name, email, profile image) to create and secure your account.
- Content you create. Prospect shortlists, drafts, proposals, decks, notes, and settings you enter into the Service, stored within your organization’s isolated workspace.
- Integration data. If you connect an integration (for example Google Calendar), we access only the data needed for the feature you enabled, with your explicit consent.
- Usage & device data. Standard log data such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed, used to operate and secure the Service.
2. Google user data
Some features use Google APIs. We request the minimum scopes required and only after you grant permission:
- Sign-in (your name, email address, and profile) — to authenticate you and create your Vega account.
- Google Calendar (only if you connect it) — to read availability and help you schedule and coordinate meetings from within Vega. We do not use calendar data for any other purpose.
Limited Use. Vega’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell Google user data, do not use it for advertising, and do not allow humans to read it except with your explicit consent, for security or legal reasons, or where the data has been aggregated and anonymized.
3. How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service and its features.
- To authenticate users and enforce organization-level access and security.
- To generate the analyses, prospects, and materials you request.
- To communicate with you about your account, security, and support.
- To comply with legal obligations.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers who process data on our behalf under contract — including Clerk (authentication), Convex (database), and Vercel (hosting), and enrichment/search providers used to build analyses. These providers may process data only to deliver services to us.
- Within your organization. Content is visible to authorized members of your own workspace, per the roles your administrators assign. It is not visible to other customers.
- Legal & safety. Where required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Vega, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
5. Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You can request deletion as described below.
6. Your choices & rights
- Access & correction. You may request a copy of, or corrections to, your personal information.
- Deletion. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing hello@vegasports.ai.
- Revoking Google access. You can disconnect an integration in the Service at any time, and you can revoke Vega’s access to your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information, including per-organization data isolation, encryption in transit, and least-privilege access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data.
8. International transfers
We operate from Canada and may process data in other countries where we or our service providers operate. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
9. Children
The Service is intended for business use and is not directed to children under 16.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the effective date above, and we will provide notice where required.
